Our Monthly Meetings and Events

Our monthly meetings hold on every third Saturday of the month at The Old School, Gubbins Lane, Harold Wood, Romford RM3 0QA.

The recent pandemic has moved our meetings online for now but we always look forward to a gathering of brothers and sisters, where we discuss community, progression, heritage and socio welfare issues.

It is usually a vibrant and inviting setting where there is the warmth and care of family. This is extended to anyone who cares to drop in.

We also look forward to Item 6 (follow the link to find out more).

Our members enjoy the annual August Outing and Christmas Celebration which provides the opportunity for us to leave our centre setting on an all day outing with invited friends and family.

During the year, we engage in local community activities, projects supporting those in need both in the UK and in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. We also collaborate with our chapters in the Diaspora to organise an annual MMI Conference where our culture and heritage is showcased.
